
Dr Sasha Cauthery is a counselling psychologist who works with individual adults across a wide range of concerns including: anxiety; depression/low mood; stress; abuse; ADHD; Autism Spectrum Disorder; bereavement/grief; bullying; chronic illness; gender/sexual identity; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; neglect; phobias; post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); trauma; and many more issues.
Sasha has a special interest in working with complex trauma and interpersonal difficulties, as well as neurodivergence (diagnosed or suspected). She is passionate about supporting adult clients who have experienced childhood trauma.
Sasha holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University, in addition to an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow.
Sasha is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Sasha is an integrative practitioner who provides support tailored to each client's individual preferences and goals. She values the therapeutic relationship, and strives to create a non-judgemental and empathetic environment where people feel seen and heard. Working in a person-centred way, Sasha draws upon a range of therapeutic styles to meet the needs of her clients. Where appropriate, she incorporates elements of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT-Informed Therapy, and Solution-focused Therapy. She is committed to providing culturally sensitive and responsive support to clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.Sasha's background and training
Sasha has experience in a variety of support roles, including work with multiple charities and a GP. As part of her wide-ranging roles, Sasha has provided psychological support for complex trauma within a specialist NHS trauma service, supported families affected by substance use, and delivered tailored therapy for clients affected by pregnancy complications.Sasha holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University, in addition to an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow.
