Lauren has a particular interest in working with clients who have chronic health conditions as well as with neurodivergent clients.
Lauren's way of working
Lauren is an empathetic, respectful and non-judgmental practitioner who aims to tailor her therapeutic approach to meet the individual needs and preferences of each client. She integrates her core approach of Person-Centred Therapy with elements from a number of other therapeutic approaches/therapies including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Emotion Focused Therapy.
Lauren’s background and training
Lauren has extensive experience working in a variety of supportive roles, including as a clinical support worker, research assistant, and play therapist, where she developed skills in psychological research, and therapeutic intervention.
Lauren has an undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology with a Specialism in Health from Glasgow Caledonian University, and a MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Stirling. She is currently working towards a doctorate in Health Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Lauren is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
