Kate Remshardt is an experienced counsellor / psychotherapist who works with individual adults with a range of issues and problems including: depression and low mood, anxiety (social anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)), grief/bereavement; stress; trauma; addiction (alcohol, substance), eating disorders and body image issues; life transitions; gender and sexual identity; assertiveness; chronic illness, self-harm; relationship issues, and many more issues. 

Kate is fluent in German and she is happy to work with people who would feel more comfortable speaking in this language.
 

Kate's way of working

Kate is a person-centred / experiential therapist which means that she aims to help clients explore their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a safe, confidential and supportive environment. She sees each client as unique and works to support each individual to gain a better understanding of themselves and their lives.

Kate's background and training

Kate has extensive experience of working, studying and living in various countries. She has worked in many different fields including as a volunteer counsellor providing person-centred therapy to the general public and students and in social care, financial services, and language tuition. 

Kate has an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde, a COSCA Certificate in Listening Skills from the University of Glasgow, and an MSc in Psychological Studies (conversion) from the University of Glasgow. As well as studying psychology and psychotherapy, Kate previously studied modern languages and international relations.
 

Kate's fee
