Eating and body image - eating disorders
Body image and being thin have become a big pressure for men and women in our image conscious world.
Often people have distorted views of their own bodies and may become obsessed with their weight and size, feeling awkward or embarrassed about themselves.
Eating patterns can be affected by stress and unhappiness and we can lose our appetites or crave certain foods.
Over a long period, disrupted eating and exercise patterns can develop into eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Compulsive eating.
