Cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) at our Glasgow centre
We are pleased to offer cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) and mindulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) at First Psychology Centre, Glasgow. Cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) is an approach that suggests the ways we think and interpret situations are important in how we feel and behave. It proposes we often have unhelpful negative or unrealistic ideas about ourselves and the world around us that can make us feel low, anxious or upset. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is a combination of cognitive therapy and meditation techniques. It has been specifically developed to reduce relapse and recurrence of depression. It also has been shown to help people with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome and insomnia.
