Addiction: alcohol, drugs, gambling, exercise, sex, internet and other addictions
Addiction is a compulsive and uncontrollable impulse that can often begin harmlessly and then spiral out of control. There are many types of addiction including:
- Alcohol addiction
- Drug addiction
- Gambling addiction
- Exercise addiction
- Sex addiction
- Additions to the internet
It is not fully know why some people will develop an addiction while others wont and it is believed that a number of factors may combine to result in addictive behaviours.
Recognising you have an addiction and seeking help is vital to regaining control of your behaviour.
